Data Processing Agreement

Development placeholder. Last updated: July 2026.

This Data Processing Agreement describes how GuestBun processes personal data on behalf of accommodation hosts who use the service.

Roles

The host is generally the controller of guest data. GuestBun acts as a processor by providing software infrastructure for collecting, storing, viewing, exporting, and deleting guest check-in data.

Processing activities

GuestBun processes guest information submitted through check-in links, including names and document numbers, only for the purpose of providing the service to the host.

Categories of data subjects

Guests who submit check-in information through a GuestBun check-in link.

Categories of personal data

First name, last name, document number, booking information, property information, and submission timestamps.

Host responsibility

The host is responsible for deciding what information is required, ensuring there is a valid legal basis, informing guests where required, and completing any official guest reporting.

Security

GuestBun uses password hashing, authenticated dashboard access, session expiry, and controlled host access to reduce unauthorized access risk.

Deletion

Hosts can delete bookings and related guest records from the dashboard. Property deletion also deletes related bookings and submitted guest records.
